Pete Mustill who also runs the OnBike shop in Presteigne is planning to spend this spring riding his electric recumbent from John O Groats to Lands End playing music at a different venue every night. He will be joined on the trip by virtuoso fiddle player (and very inexperienced recumbent cyclist) John Hymas. The trip combines Pete’s two great passions – music and electric biking and the idea is not to break any records or raise a million pounds for Donkey rescue farms, but just to have as much fun as possible. The pair will leave John O Groats on April Fools Day riding American long wheelbase recumbents fitted with an electric motor on their front wheels. They will both be carrying 3x10amp batteries each along with their instruments, chargers, tools and one spare pair of underpants!

I was going to offer you a bed for the night (and charge) in Congleton, Cheshire, but see you are not passing our way. I will be on the Isle of Jura when you set off, but I will try and get out to see you somewhere along your route.
Brilliant idea, just a shame you will miss out on our local brew and the hospitality at the Beartown Tap
Good luck
Ray
